Trond Sæverud

Trond Sæverud, born in 1962, son of Ketil Hvoslef, grandson of Harald Sæverud, has combined his solo career with work as a concertmaster of several Scandinavian symphony orchestras. As a soloist, he often performs and records his father's and grandfather's works. In 1992, he had a very successful performance of Ketil Hvoslef's violin concerto with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, London. He later recorded this piece with the Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra. In 1997, Trond Sæverud recorded Harald Sæverud's violin concert and romanza with the Stavanger and Bergen symphony orchestras and released a "live" solo CD which included music by Ketil Hvoslef. For the Harald Sæverud Centennial 1997, Trond Sæverud gave more than 100 concerts throughout Europe, USA and Japan.
