Bodil Arnesen
Bodil Arnesen is on of Norway's most talented singers. She was born in Harstad, Norway. She graduated from the Rogaland Music Conservatory in 1991, as a student of Marit Storaekre, and later continued her studies at the State Opera in Munich.
She is the recipient of Princess Astrid's Music Prize (1989), the German International ARD Music Prize (1990), the Kirsten Flagstad Prize (1991) the European Music Prize in Dresden (1991), the Mirjam Helin International Singing Prize in Helsinki (1994), and the Robert Schumann Prize in Zwickau (1996). In 1994, she was appointed an official Olympic Games musician, appearing at concerts in Norway and abroad for the Winter Olympics in Lillehammer, Norway.
